Rising Londoners De Profundis are confirmed to return to the Hordes Of Belial stage for 7 & Hell.
After releasing the news last week that Certain Death will be taking the top slot at Hordes Of Belial this October 1st, Critical Events are ready to spill the beans on more additions to the yearly metal & hard rock event. Heading up the list this time around is London’s technical death metal band De Profundis. Having recently released their fourth full-length – Kingdom Of The Blind – they have been gathering up a highly impressive list of support shows, playing with Gorgoroth, Enslaved, Demonic Resurrection, and loads more.
Recently added to the line-up for this year’s Warhorns, Ram It Down, and Incineration festivals, this will be their second showing at Hordes Of Belial, having headlined the second stage in 2013. Through numerous live appearances and a progressive approach to releasing in the last two years, they are certainly a rising force on the UK scene, described by No Clean Singing as “structurally progressive, viscerally powerful, and melodically imaginative“, and their Frequencies EP voted best self-release of 2014 at Zero Tolerance magazine. A very tasty prospect indeed!
Stepping out of their usual comfort zone of punk stages, Kincardine’s Subvision will also be joining the fray. More commonly seen alongside the likes of Discharge and 999, they represent a caustic attack on social issues, and musically bridge the gap between punk metal crossover sub-genres. Elements of thrash and traditional hard-core are mashed up into a one-off character, that’s sure to set you swigging and jigging. We do love our dirty noises at Hordes Of Belial, and they don’t come much dirtier than this!
The various body parts for our third addition of the day have been hewn from the carcasses of some of Glasgow’s underground greats – Diementia, Mair, Zero Hour, and Fuelbound. Moving out under the name Acid Trial, they’ve already battled their way to the Scottish grand finals of Bloodstock Open Air’s Metal To The Masses, will be appearing at Glasgow’s Scrap Metal in June, played the O2 ABC, and released their first demo tracks, Bloodsport/Watch Them Fly. Possibly best described as sludge-thrash, it’s a great spin, and it looks like this hard-working band will be on a lot of people’s radars very soon.
There are now only five more acts to be announced – e-tickets are already available at: https://www.wegottickets.com/event/346388
More additions are coming very soon, so watch this space!!!
